'Richard Wilson 20:50' Installation
This installation was hard to understand when I first looked at it, as it is very misleading. At first it looked just like a black shiny floor with white squares, then I realised the white squares were the ceiling reflecting on the black surface. I didn't realise it was oil for about a minute, after looking really intensely onto the surface and being able to smell the oil aswell. I thought this was a great optical illusion and very cleverly and carefully put together.
Michael Hoppen Gallery
Guy Bourdin Exhibition
This photo is of the window of the Michael Hoppen Gallery, we were not allowed to take photos inside the gallery.
Inside the Guy Bourdin Exhibition was quite an intimate and small number of Guy Bourdin's photographic works, but they were interesting to view in a group of photos as you could see Bourdin's clear style.
Snog Frozen Yoghurt
Opposite the Guy Bourdin Gallery was a frozen yoghurt bar called Snog. From the outside it looked really eyecatching and colourful, so we thought we'd go in and try some. The inside was very bright and stark white, with toad-stalls for seats and vibrant cartoon images all over the walls, aswell as a photobooth so you can have your picture displayed inside the shop.
I decided to try a Guanabana frozen yoghurt which is apparently a tropical fruit which tasted like a mixture of banana and melon, and had mango slices on top. I really enjoyed it, and the overall experience as it's very fun and interactive. The decor is playful and childish but it brightens up your day!

This restaurant was one of the most interesting and exciting experiences I have ever had! It didn't take us long to work our way around the menu, there are easy tabs which take you to the food, drinks menu, the 'atmosphere,' where you can change the table colour theme and the image which was projected, and the extras, such as games, asking for the bill or assistance, and looking up bus and underground timetables, as well as an icon to call a cab.
When you flick through the menu, all the dishes would be shown individually and a projected image of the dish would come up on your plate infront of you, giving you an idea of what it will actually look like if you order it!
The whole experience was very sensory and interactive which is a great way to excite and entice your taste buds, and definitely encourages you to order more! Because this type of experience is very different too any other restaurants, it makes you feel much more animated and amazed which means it stays ingrained in your mind longer and more vividly.
